Crowdfunding Ahazaza is a project realized to support the 'Ahazaza Independent School', a private, secular school located in Muhanga,a small country town in Rwanda.

Founded in 2006 with only one class of 17 pupils, by a group of local families along with Mrs. Raina Luff, Ahazaza Independent School has now become an international Cambridge nursery and primary school with over 500 students.

The goal of the school is to create an ideal environment where children can develop skills and enhance their critical thinking.

By offering an outstanding education, Ahazaza Independent School has earned a reputation as one of the top schools in the country, distinguished by its trilingual curriculum in English, French, and Kinyarwanda.

The school holds several certifications of excellence, being recognized both as a Cambridge and DELF International School. At least 12% of pupils,chosen amongst the very poor, benefit from a scholarship.

Future Investment

To continue providing a quality education and to meet local needs, the school is compelled to modernize and continually renew its educational materials.

Without your help it is impossible to fulfill some basic items such as a sufficient number of books, especially the Cambridge one.

Ahazaza is the only school of its type within more than 100km radius that offers such an innovative education , but it cannot sustain itself.

Raina Luff

Founder of Ahazaza Indipendent School

Founder of Ahazaza Independent School,a lawyer and a former university professor in Rwanda. Once retired, in 2006 she founded the Ahazaza Independent School.
